Developing a Small Business Social Media Strategy

A social media marketing strategy lays the groundwork for marketing campaigns that most effectively reach your target audience, increase brand awareness, drive sales, and cultivate lasting relationships with customers. In this 45-minute virtual training session, small business owners will learn how to develop a social media marketing strategy that helps them achieve their business goals. Penn State SBDC Marketing Consultant Elizabeth Fegert and Ellen Matis of Hello Social will share the elements of an effective social media strategy, the process of creating a strategy, and the best ways to use a strategy to execute strategic marketing efforts. Participants will also learn how to listen to their audience, identify milestones and key metrics, create an editorial schedule, and measure the success of their efforts.

After the session, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop and execute a comprehensive social media marketing plan that aligns with their business goals.

This is the fourth session in our 10-part Blueprint marketing series, which is designed to guide entrepreneurs through the process of successfully marketing a small business. Training sessions will be offered live and on-demand. Workshop sessions will be offered live, but guided exercises will be provided to those who are unable to attend.
